All this cleaning, planning, organizing, and cooking in order to prepare for Thanksgiving…and it’s already over! Sure, there are leftovers in the fridge to remind you of the glorious meal you had, but other than that: it’s done.
However, this doesn’t mean you get to sit back and relax. In fact: the next batch of Holidays is right around the corner! So instead of planning for turkey, we have to wrap our heads around ham, eggnog,…and GIFTS! But what to give the little ones? What to pay attention to? How to know what is appropriate? Let’s take a look!
- When giving a phone:
Make sure the websites they are visiting are safe. As always: there are apps for that! For example: Windows Phones support “Kids Browse Safe”, which specifies websites that are okay for your child to visit; Androids runs “Safe Browser”; “Mobicip Safe Browser” works on iPhones. All of them allow parents to have control over websites, and adding/editing them is simple.
- When giving a Surface:
Good news, everyone! In addition to the standard warranty, you may be able to purchase additional warranty. With Microsoft Complete you get two years of limited warranty coverage (instead of 1), two years of technical support (as opposed to 90 days), and two years of accidental damage protection!
- When giving video/console games:
So many to chose from – where to begin? To be on the safe side, make sure the games you’re considering are rated appropriately for your child’s age group. By following the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) guidelines, you are good to go!
