Copilot Tips: Refining & Sharing Notebooks – Tech Tip for November 8, 2025
In this week’s tech tip, we continue exploring Microsoft Copilot Notebooks and how they can support deeper thinking, better drafting, and smoother collaboration. Once you begin building ideas inside a Notebook, the real value comes from improving your content—and then deciding how to share it or use it as part of a deliverable. Let’s dive in!
Refine and Improve Content with Copilot
Notebooks are designed for iteration—you can explore multiple angles, tones, or content length options while keeping all references and drafts in one place.

From a Browser or the M365 App:
- Select ‘Notebooks’ from the left navigation (in a browser, go to https://m365.cloud.microsoft).
- Open the Notebook you want to refine.
- Select the Page you want to continue working in.
- Prompt with Copilot:
- Try: “Make this clearer and more concise for business leaders.”
- Try: “Highlight key action items for leadership.”
- Try: “What are some missing or under-addressed items?”
- Review Copilot’s responses and brainstorm with Copilot for further refinements, or re-drafts, ex. content variation, tone change, shorter or longer versions of content.
- Create additional Pages to test alternate versions of a messaging strategy.
TIP: Use Page names such as “Version A,” or “Version B,” to easily find and compare the outcomes of different approaches within the same space.

Share a Notebook with Others
When you have a solid direction you are taking with your Notebook content, you may want to then share your notes with others.
- Select ‘Notebooks’ from left menu in Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Open the Notebook you want to share.
- Select the ‘…’ (ellipses) button next to a Notebook Page and click to ‘Open.’
- Locate and click the ‘Share’ button (top-right) on the Page.
- Page link: Access and copy and paste a shareable link.
- Select ‘Allow’ to allow M365 to see text/images copied to the clipboard when requested.
- Copy component: Copy/paste an embeddable component into an M365 app (email, Teams message, or other M365 apps where applicable).
- Shared access is allowed within your internal tenant only.
- Copy the link and paste it into an app to share it (where applicable).
- Select the ‘Settings’ link in the shared link pop-up to set and manage access.
- Page link: Access and copy and paste a shareable link.
TIP: Availability of Notebook sharing may vary depending on your Microsoft 365 tenant status while Microsoft continues to roll out and expand this capability. If you share your Notebook with others, your conversations with Copilot and references remain private.
Copilot Notebooks help you think through ideas, evolve drafts, and explore alternate versions without losing your progress. When you’re ready to share, you can involve collaborators directly—or simply copy refined output into Word, Outlook, Teams, or PowerPoint or other apps to keep moving. We hope you’ll give Copilot Notebooks a try!
