Loop Tips: Figma Integration – Tech Tip for June 10, 2025

In this week’s tech tip, we’re spotlighting a powerful new feature: Microsoft Loop now supports native integration with Figma (a collaborative design and prototyping tool)—bringing your designs into the same space as your project notes, task lists, and feedback. No more switching between tabs or hunting down links. With this new feature, your team can review, discuss, and iterate on designs directly inside Loop.

Figma Integration in Microsoft Loop

Bringing Figma into Loop creates a single source of truth where design and documentation coexist. Once you paste a Figma link, it instantly renders an interactive preview—allowing you to review designs without leaving your workspace.

Grab Your Figma Link

  • In Figma, open the file or frame you want to share.
  • Click Share, adjust permissions if needed (e.g., “Anyone with the link can view”), then copy the link.

TIP: Set Figma permissions to “view only” for stakeholders and “edit” for your design team to maintain control.

Paste the Link into a Loop Page

  • Open your Loop workspace or document.
  • Paste the copied Figma link directly into the page.

TIP: Loop will automatically embed the design with an interactive preview—no extra steps needed!

Use Loop as a Project Review Hub

Loop makes it easy to collect design feedback, tag stakeholders, and track revisions all in one place. By pairing the Figma embed with notes, checklists, or comment threads, you create a structured space for design iteration.

  • Add context by writing a short description above the embed (e.g., “Homepage V2 – awaiting final review”).
  • Use Loop’s comment or checklist features alongside the Figma preview to capture feedback and action items.
    • Type: “/Checklist” on the Loop page below your Figma preview to start a new checklist.

TIP: Add a “Feedback” table next to your Figma embed with columns like Comment, Owner, and Status to keep follow-ups organized.

Turn your section title, Figma preview, and checklist into a component to share across Microsoft 365 apps:

  • Click into the Loop page, and drag your cursor to highlight the checklist, Figma preview and section title.
  • Select the ‘Block’ (six dots) next to the section title and, ‘Create a Loop component.’
  • Click the ‘Copy component’ (double square icon, top-right) to Copy your new component in Microsoft 365 apps.
  • Alternatively: Select the ‘Share’ button, at the top-right of the Loop page to share and paste a Page link or dynamic Loop component in a different app.

Collaborate Across Teams

With real-time sync between Figma and Loop, designers, developers, and project managers can stay aligned and move faster. Everyone can view the most up-to-date designs and contribute feedback directly in context—no extra tools or emails required.

  • Developers, marketers, and stakeholders can view designs, leave comments, and refer to version notes—all without leaving the document.
  • Embed multiple designs in one page to track changes over time or compare design directions.

TIP: Use sections to organize designs by phase (e.g., “Wireframes,” “Prototypes,” “Final Designs”) for a cleaner, more navigable page.

Figma integration in Loop bridges the gap between design and execution. By embedding designs directly into your project pages, you create a shared space for real-time collaboration, feedback, and context—keeping everyone aligned and reducing back-and-forth. Try it out in your next design sprint and experience a more connected workflow.
