Loop Tips & Features: Generate a Loop Meeting Agenda – Tech Tip For December 27, 2023
Your time is precious. Microsoft Loop has made it simple to add some organization and structure to your upcoming Teams meetings with their new add-in meeting agenda feature. Here’s how to leverage the Loop meeting agenda component for your next Teams-generated meeting.
From Teams’ Calendar for the Web and Desktop app (Windows):
- Select to highlight a new calendar date -> Click ‘New meeting’ button (top-right)
- From the New meeting window:
- Navigate to bottom of page -> Select button for ‘Add an agenda others can edit.’
- Loop automatically generates a web component with editable meeting notes text.
- Customize your meeting agenda with a checklist feature, add a bulleted list of meeting notes, and assign tasks either pre- or post- meeting, or live (during your meeting), using the customizable, sortable, table feature.
Tip: After Loop generates the meeting agenda component -> Click the ‘Meeting Notes’ web link (to the right of Loop’s logo) to edit in Loop on the web. You may also edit your meeting notes right in the Teams New meeting options/setup window.
Loop’s meeting agenda component also comes with more features. Click the ellipses (…) from within the component area (top-right) to select from the following options:
- Shared locations: add your meeting notes to a shared workspace.
- Copy component: copy your meeting notes into a Teams channel page, Loop workspace page, or into an Outlook email message. You may also want to paste the meeting agenda web link into other Microsoft apps that allow the copy (CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) features to be used.
- See who has access: check access to see who can view your meeting notes (sharing settings can be edited within the Loop app on the web via loop.microsoft.com).
- Hide meeting notes on the invite: hide meeting notes from the invitation send-out.
Tip: Loop components currently only work when they are internally shared or emailed (work account to work account – not externally ex. work account to Gmail) within your organization.
Tip: Hiding meeting notes will only hide notes from the invitation being sent out. People can still access the notes during the meeting.
Tip: To unhide meeting notes for the meeting invitation -> Click ‘Let people view and edit the agenda’ button to enable. Meeting attendees must be in your organization to view and collaborate on meeting notes using this Loop feature.
Try out the Loop meeting agenda component for your next Teams meeting to see how it improves your experience, organization, and productivity!
