Techy New Year’s Resolutions Part III

Mid-way through January we wanted to make another recommendation for a techy New Year’s Resolution that will help you get more organized – in your personal life as well as your work life.

Unsubscribe to Junk mail

This is really nothing that needs a lot of explanation as it can be done with the simple click of a button. Most emails that you had previously subscribed to will give you – at the very VERY bottom in teeny tiny print – the option to unsubscribe from future emails. Even though this process is unfortunately a little time-consuming, the end result will leave you feeling a whole lot more relaxed. Decluttering your inbox from mail you aren’t interested in any longer, is a good way to start the year off right!

If you do not have time for the manual labor associated with this process, there are services out there that can help! After you sign up for these services, they will synchronize with your email accounts and provide you with a list of your current subscriptions. There will then be  an option to keep receiving those emails or unsubscribe from them.

By unsubscribing from unwanted email sources you also decrease the risk of accidentally clicking harmful links and jeopardizing your devices, sensitive data, personal information, etc.
